Resident & Staff Physician is an important source of medical education dedicated to residents, attending physicians, and hospitalists. Articles are physician-authored and classically peer-reviewed by a highly qualified board of advisors from all major subspecialties. The wide range of topics include a specific focus on beside and primary care medicine.
The journal provides concise, up-to-date reviews of common and newly developed diagnostic
and treatment strategies, as well as a variety of quizzes and other regular departments
specifically geared toward the unique needs of residents.
Charles Driscoll, MD, provides guidance for the journal as Editor-in-Chief. As Director of a
Family Medicine Residency Program in Lynchburg, Virginia, and having served as a questionwriter
for the American Board of Family Practice among many of his other credentials, Dr.
Driscoll is particularly well qualified to lead a publication whose purpose is rooted in providing
practical information for young physicians and those who guide them.
